Randy Grover's Help Yourself Out Blog - 1-902-754-8194
There are so many people like myself who are burdened by debt and financial uncertainty and being one who knows it sucks, I have put this blog together to help those who truely want the help.
Since 1996, the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation has been organising therapeutic adventure expeditions for teenagers living with cancer. Much more than outdoors activities, these trips offer a chance to spend time with other teenagers who share the same reality, who can understand without needing explanations. They also represent an opportunity to make friends by meeting challenges together, as young people often dream of doing at that stage of life. Through these challenges and by overcoming their limits, we hope to see them rebuild their self-confidence, and their hope for the future.
Mission To help adolescents living with cancer regain their self-esteem and sense of pride by offering them an exceptional challenge in adventure therapy in Canada. Supervised by external resources, medical specialists and outdoors adventure experts, these expeditions also aim to change the image of cancer for both the youth and the general public.
Goal To offer teenagers living with cancer an opportunity to leave the hospital and become separated from civilisation, form their day-to-day environment. A situation is thus created, through which we aim to reconstruct the teenagers’ self-esteem and to help them regain their confidence in life by giving them a challenge and an opportunity to surpass their limits.
Objectives Each expedition is built around five objectives that concern not only the children, but also the supervising staff: guides, doctors, nurses, and educators.
Therapeutic Objective: Change the perception and image of cancer for the teenagers living with the disease, their families and the general public.
Physical Objective: Surpass physical limits to generate self-esteem and regain hope for the future.
Cultural Objective: Meet new people and discover other cultures for mutual growth and new ways to perceive life and disease.
Geographical Objective: Explore new destinations that challenge the physical self: reaching a summit, paddling down a river, and trekking through wilderness.
Educational Objective: Take advantage of the expedition to teach history and geography, fauna and flora, climate and geomorphology, and to learn more about the importance of interactions between nature and mankind.

The Discover® Student Card - Monogram Collection, issued by Discover, provides a Cashback Bonus® reward program as well as a personalized card design that displays the cardholder's initial(s). Through the reward program, students can earn a 5% rebate for purchases made in popular categories that change four times a year like travel, gas, restaurants, movies, and more. In addition, cardholders earn up to 1% for general purchases. Those who spend up to $1,500 on general purchases will receive a .25% rebate, between $1,500 and $3,000 will receive a .5% rebate, and over $3,000 will receive a 1% rebate.* Cardholders also earn a 0.25% rebate at select warehouse clubs and discount stores, and they can earn a double Cashback Bonus® for redeeming their rebates for gift certificates from participating Discover Card Partners. There is no yearly limit on the amount of rebates that can be earned, and rebates do not expire as long as the account is active within a 36-month period. Aside from the reward program, the unique feature of this card is that cardholders can choose from three card designs that will display either their first initial or their first and last initials on the front of the card. The card also provides standard benefits, including online account management, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and discounts on products and services at participating merchants and retailers. The APR for this card is reasonable and there is no annual fee and 0% interest on purchases for six months. Therefore, those who plan to spend over $3,000 a year (to earn the 1% cash rebate), plan to use their Cashback Bonus® award at participating retailers (to earn a full 5% rebate and double cash rebates), and plan to pay in full each month (to avoid costly finance charges) will benefit most from what the Discover® Student Card - Monogram Collection has to offer. *It is important to note that like many cash reward cards, the highest rebate offered will not apply to all purchases made with the credit card. In this case, 1% will be applied only to those purchases made after the cardholder spends over $3,000 in one year, so the overall cash rebate earned will be less than 1%, depending on the amount spent. For instance, if the cardholder were to spend $4,000, only $1,000 of this amount would be applied towards the 1% rebate. However, this does not take into account any promotional offers or the full 5% Cashback Bonus® award.
"Avoiding the First Cause of Death, Can We Live Longer and Better?"
Immunologist & biochemist’s new book reveals new insights into the aging process and details steps to expand the maximum human life span
Who was Jeanne Calment? She was French, an avid fencer and enjoyed the occasional glass of red wine. She passed away on August 4, 1997 at an age of 122 years and 164 days. This period of about 120 years is currently viewed as the maximum human life span. Could this be further increased by altering a few aspects of your life?
The United States spends more than any other country on health care but does not lead the world in life expectancy. With the average American life span at about 78 years, experts believe that more government expenditure on health care will result in a lower mortality rate. What if there was a way, in addition to a healthy lifestyle, that we could lower the mortality rate without the help of the government?
In his new book, Avoiding the First Cause of Death, Dr. Wulf Dröge , former department head at the National Cancer Research Center of Germany and Professor of Immunology and Cell Biology at the University of Heidelberg, reveals new insights into the mechanisms of aging and death and describes steps aiming at increasing our life span beyond the current maximum human life span of 120 years. While many guides encourage readers to add a few more years to their lives by adopting a better lifestyle including healthier eating and adequate physical exercise, Dr. Droge’s book is addressed to all those health aficionados who are already observing the recommendations for a healthy lifestyle und who now want to reach beyond the current maximum life span.
Supported by his own research and credible references, Droge explains how the process of self-rejuvenation depends on alternating periods of rigorous autocannibalism, which removes damaged parts and waste from the body, and rigorous reconstruction to refill the gaps. As humans age, the process of autocannibalism declines and affects several major age-related diseases and the basic process of aging and death. Dr. Dröge explains the steps that may be taken to ameliorate the decline of this mechanism and add years to your life.
“This is not an ‘easy’ book to read,” says Dröge. “It is not the newest diet book or guide to living a healthy life. It goes to the next level, explaining the processes that cause the body to age and the preventative measures that may be taken to live past the maximum human life span of about 120 years.”
Themes found throughout Avoiding the First Cause of Death include:
* Limits of the maximum human life span * Mechanisms of aging and death * The effects of oxygen radicals & oxidative stress on the human body * How we can alter our internal processes to reduce the risks of age-related diseases such as heart failure
As a Professor of Immunology and Cell Biology at the University of Heidelberg ( Germany ) and head of a department at the German Cancer Research Center , Dr. Wulf Dröge has focused his research on the areas of redox regulation, oxidative stress, aging and the mechanisms of disease-related wasting. After studying chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Freiburg (Germany), Dr. Dröge served as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University and as a scientific member at the Basel Institute of Immunology in Switzerland. He is a member of several scientific societies and has published more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
He divides his time between his homes in Montreal , Canada and Heidelberg , Germany .
Dr. Dröge has been actively engaged in biomedical research for over 40 years and has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. As department head at the National Cancer Research Center of Germany and professor of immunology and cell biology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, Dr. Droege has contributed to key findings related to the age-related oxidative stress and the mechanisms of aging and disease-related wasting. He uses this research and credible references in his new book, Avoiding the First Cause of Death.
“I have dedicated many years of my scientific career to understanding the causes of aging,” says Dr. Dröge. “The cutting edge developments detailed in my book reveal important new clues about the mechanisms of aging and suggest ways to aim for a longer, better life.”
An interview with Dr. Dröge would inform your audience about topics such as:
* The factors that determine the average and the maximum human life span * Internal mechanisms related to aging and death * The benefits of certain lifestyle additions and adjustments * How to adjust our internal processes to decrease the risks of age-related diseases * The steps necessary to modify your lifestyle with the aim to reach beyond the current maximum human life span

Harvard Medical Students Rebel Against Pharma-Ties
Tuesday, 03 March 2009
200 Harvard Medical School STUDENTS are confronting the administration demanding an end to pharmaceutical industry influence in the classroom. A front page report in the Business section of the New York Times should bestir some of Harvard Medical School alumni. 200 Harvard Medical School STUDENTS are confronting the administration demanding an end to pharmaceutical industry influence in the classroom.
"The students say they worry that pharmaceutical industry scandals in recent years - including some criminal convictions, billions of dollars in fines, proof of bias in research and publishing and false marketing claims - have cast a bad light on the medical profession. And they criticize Harvard as being less vigilant than other leading medical schools in monitoring potential financial conflicts by faculty members."
Loss of sexual interest among women is a serious problem that often causes stress among couples. According to Dr. Holzapfel of Sunnybrook and Women's College Hospital in Toronto, about 30% of women in every age range are experiencing loss of sexual interest. The reasons behind this loss vary from woman to woman, so men can only speculate as to why their partners have no sexual appetite; but men who are eager to bring back the sexual enthusiasm of their partners seek professional help to solve this problem.
Based on sexual medicine counseling, biological and sociological factors play major roles in women's libido. Among biological factors, the most common are medical condition, hormonal changes, physical changes, and pregnancy. If one is suffering from any medical condition such as depression and taking anti-depressants or other medications, he or she has the possibility of losing or diminishing sexual cravings because some medications are known to pull down the body's libido level. Pregnant women often lose sexual urges because of Hyperprolactinaemia, an abnormal level of prolactin in women that often result in low libido. Women's low testosterone level and estrogen level also drag their sexual appetite down.
As mentioned, sociological factors also influence the decrease of sexual interest of women. Among the most important of these factors is women's relationship with their partners. For most women, an unhealthy relationship hinders them to enjoy sexual intercourse. Usually, couples do not practice open communication regarding their problems, which is why most women prefer to keep their emotions to themselves; this discretion, in turn, leads to depression and loss of sexual interest.
Given that these are common reasons for loss of interest, it's easier to get back to enjoying sex. The very first step to regain sexual interest is to regain assertiveness and confidence in oneself. Women are often found guilty of thinking about the welfare of their children or husbands that they tend to forget about their own personal needs including their sexual desires. This kind of distraction ensues even in the middle of intercourse and consequently, women easily have less appetite for sex, achieve weak orgasm, or worse, shut themselves out from sex.
In such case, doctors advise women to give more time for themselves and think of their sexual needs. Giving more time for themselves also means that women who have kids must hire babysitters from time to time to enjoy their lives. This enjoyment does not necessarily mean dating men, but it can be going out to see a movie, shopping, or leisure bathing--- simple pleasures that women can enjoy alone. With these 'private' pleasures, it is strongly believed that women will eventually recognize their needs for intimacy.
Once women have made time for themselves and taken back their self-assurance, non-sexual reconnection comes in. Non-sexual reconnection means getting close to a husband or partner without necessarily engaging in sex. According to David Schnarch, Evergreen Marriage and Family Health Center's director, a simple 5 to 10-minute hug can rekindle women's desire to engage in sex. If women are already connected with their partners, they can talk to them about what they like their partners to do to have better sex. For example, they might want to go to other places like hotels to have a change of environment or want to do new sexual positions that they think will give them faster and longer orgasms. Women can also read pornographic materials or watch pornographic videos with their partners to boost sexual urges.
If the whole experience is hindered by concerns like vaginal dryness, women can trust lubricants and libido boosting products to solve their problem and at the same time, still maintain their newfound or regained sexual confidence. These libido boosters, such as Provestra, contain natural ingredients including red Raspberry leaf extract, Damiana leaf, Licorice root, Valerian root, black Cohosh root, and Ginger root. The red Raspberry leaf extract is a female tonic that regulates women's uterine contractions while the Damiana leaf is an old aphrodisiac used by ancient generations and trusted by the contemporary medical community. The Licorice root, Valerian root, and black Cohosh root components of libido boosting products, like Provestra, also function as adrenal glands tonifiers, hormonal function enhancers, tension reducers, and stress relievers. The black Cohosh root, in particular, improves the contraction of the vagina and uterine, while the Ginger root serves as a stimulant that boosts the functions of other herbal ingredients.
In most cases, however, women who suffer from loss of sexual interest do away with the formalities of resolving the issue and merely resort to a simple solution---Provestra or other libido boosting products that suit their bodies. Such products are specially developed to help women who have lost their sexual appetite to bring their enthusiasm back. These products naturally restore sexual drive, improve foreplay pleasures, enlarge the clitoris, heighten sexual sensation, speed arousal, prolong orgasm, and enhance women's fertility by strengthening their reproductive systems. Other benefits of libido boosters like Provestra include more sound sleep, less menstrual cramps, and larger breasts.
Indeed, there are many natural methods to get that sexual urge back and address the lack in sexual interest. But always keep in mind that aside from being something that is expressed in physical form, sexual desire is also a psychological aspect. So to simplify life and easily take back the attitude in sex, women can either take libido boosting products or be open to sexual intercourse. Or, they can simply do both to ensure high level of sexual drive and energy.
Male Enhancements
The definition for premature ejaculation is vague at best. It could mean either ejaculating before intercourse, or just as you begin intercourse, maybe a couple of minutes in. Some even define intercourse as finishing before your partner! How many times have you wished you could have more staying power? You aren't alone. In fact, the National Health and Social Life Survey (NHSLS) reports that 30% of men ejaculate prematurely.
Premature ejaculation is not a disease, but simply a sexual condition. While premature ejaculation in no way physically harms the sufferer, it does affect his relationship with his partner, who he likely leaves sexually unsatisfied. This in turn will affect his self-esteem, which leaks into other aspects of his life. But lucky for you, there is a cure. You can't just be expected to control this function though, without a little bit of help. You've probably tried thinking of something else other than sex, which may work but all it does is decrease the intensity of your orgasm. Or, that you need to turn to prescription medication which is both pricey and rife with side effects. Both are completely unnecessary. Instead, we'll teach you a few easy tricks so you can enjoy sex for longer.
Learning how to start and stop is your most effective tool in preventing early orgasm. That is, while having sex recognize the moment before you orgasm, and hold off. It should first be practiced during masturbation, and then incorporated with a partner. Learn to find that moment right as you build towards orgasm, which is signalled by a tingling feeling. Stop any stimulation once you feel this tingling. After the sensation subsides, resume stimulation. See how many times you can do this, then let yourself orgasm. It may sound easy, but you'll see it's far more difficult than it sounds. You may find that you will occasionally lose the strength of your erection - this happens occasionally. Just continue as you were before. Once you are ready for partner sex with this routine, try caressing and kissing during these little breaks.
Kegel exercises are another great way of holding off orgasm. Kegel exercises strengthen the pubococcygeus muscles, otherwise known as the PC muscles. To find these muscles, stop your urination midstream - that would be the PC muscles. Now, to do a Kegel exercise, clench the muscle, hold it for five seconds, then release. Repeat these in sets of ten until you are tired. Slowly, over time, increase the number of reps, and should ideally be repeated three times a day. You won't see any results quickly, at least not for three to four weeks. How this works is during sex, once you feel yourself building towards orgasm in the same way you learned with the start and stop technique, clench this muscle. This can be done in conjunction with the start and stop.
An herbal supplement is also a great help, as long as it comes from a reputable company. Extenze promises a longer, firmer, thicker erection. Who doesn't want that? More importantly, it increases your staying power while still increasing the power of your orgasm. This probably sounds too good to be true. But it does work, through a carefully selected blend of natural sexual enhancers. Expect results with no side effects.

Aug. 01/2009 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Immunotec Inc. (TSX-V: IMM) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved an investigator-held IND (#105,140) for the conduct of this pilot study of 48 patients. The goal of the study is to determine the effect of IMN 1207, a cysteine-rich whey protein supplement, (Immunocal) in preventing additional weight loss in patients with stage IV (advanced) non-small cell lung cancer. Many patients with cancer struggle with severe cancer-related weight loss and decline in their general health. This study proposes that the use of IMN 1207, could potentially maintain or increase weight in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study will compare the use of IMN 1207 with casein, another protein that is derived from milk.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. The majority of the diagnosed lung cancers (85%) are non-small cell lung carcinomas. These cancers have a high risk of weight loss (61%), as do pancreatic and gastric cancers. Disease and/or treatment-related weight loss may trigger a cascade of secondary effects including reduced quality of life, treatment intolerance and infections, as well as decreased survival. Research studies using various drugs such as megestrol acetate, a steroid hormone, have reported successful weight gain, but it can be associated with potentially serious side effects (such as high blood pressure, blood clots, etc). Therefore investigating a nutritional supplement with few side effects is important.
This study, supported by the Moffitt Cancer Center CCOP Research Base, which is funded by NCI, will only be conducted through the Beaumont CCOP, part of the Cancer Clinical Trials Office at Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak, Michigan.
To summarize who I am would be quite simple.
I am an entity that shows people suffering from disease just how to improve their lives even if it only helps the smallest bit.
